Managers, Get Ready for the 2026 Staff Engagement Survey
Managers are asked to perform the following actions by the deadline
In preparation for the 2026 staff engagement survey, all managers are asked to perform the following actions: Please note that Campus managers only need to complete the first two tasks while Health managers should complete all three.
- Confirm your HR Umbrella Team Roster by Feb. 12.
This ensures your team is accurately captured for the survey. If your roster is correct, no action is needed. To update your roster, reference the Campus and Health “Roster Quick Guides” available in the Roster section of Umbrella. HR Umbrella questions for Campus Managers can email [email protected] and Health Managers can submit a PeopleConnect Inquiry Ticket or contact the Health HR Customer Experience Center (CEC) line at (415) 353-4545. - Nominate your 2026 Engagement Ambassador by Feb. 24.
Nominations are for a one-year appointment, and last year's Ambassadors do NOT carry over to this year. At least one nomination per 40 staff members and per shift is recommended. The best candidates are non-supervisory, trusted by both managers and staff, and enthusiastic about inspiring others to participate in the engagement survey and action planning. Nominating before this deadline ensures your ambassador receives an invitation to the Ambassador Orientation and access to Staff Engagement Survey participation rates. - Health Managers only: Complete Engagement Action Plans by March 15.
All UCSF Health supervisors and up are asked to mark tactics complete in HR Umbrella. Before this year’s survey starts, remember to:- Review goals of existing plans with your team.
- Assess and record progress.
- Maintain focus to keep making progress.
