In observance of National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs are excited to host a virtual event on Monday, July 22, 2024, 3-4 PM ET, titled “The Thriving Warrior: Supporting the Mental Health Needs of Individuals Living with Sickle Cell Disease”.
In this panel, participants will hear warriors with sickle cell disease discuss their experiences and challenges in addressing mental health and building resiliency, self-care, and support systems.
