Don’t forget to recognize colleagues and teammates for exceptional work through the Staff Appreciation and Recognition (STAR) Program. 

This cash recognition initiative is designed to reward excellence in university service, significant achievements, and outstanding individual or team performance for UCSF Campus teammates. The program includes two types of awards: SPOT Awards, which recognize specific achievements over a short period, and Achievement Awards, which honor sustained exceptional performance or major contributions over an extended period.

The STAR Award payment calendar has been updated with submission deadlines and payout dates through the end of the calendar year. Departments are encouraged to use any carryforward funds and STAR Training funds first. 

The following dates are deadlines for submitting a PeopleConect Management Action (PCMA) case to HR:

• Aug. 11 (SPOT)
• Sept. 11 (SPOT)
• Oct. 13 (SPOT)
• Nov. 10 (SPOT)
• Nov. 20 (Achievement)
• Dec. 8 (SPOT)
