About

There are an estimated 53 million family caregivers of adults in the US who provide a range of care tasks including assisting with personal care, companionship, dementia care, and medical care, often with little to no training. Family caregivers are often caring for more than one adult in addition to caring for children and working outside the home. While caregivers may find meaning in and be able to identify positive aspects of caregiving, it can have a serious impact on their mental and physical health. Tune into this webinar with Christina Irving, LCSW, to learn about resources, tools, and support for family caregivers in their multiple roles.

Christina Irving, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, is the Client Services Director at Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA), the Caregiver Resource Center for the Bay Area. She oversees FCA staff who provide direct services to family caregivers, including assessment, counseling, education, and support.

This event, presented by Campus Life Services - Family Services, is part of the programming for the UCSF International Women's Day celebration.
