About
Please join the Asian Pacific American Systemwide Alliance (APASA) and Razid Season (Director) on Tuesday, June 24th 12-1pm for a screening of "Elijah", a 20-minute short film about the coming-out story of a second-generation Bengali-American who desires to live life fully as a man in a trans-phobic immigrant culture. Inspired by a real-life story.
Elijah Director Razid Season will join the event virtually for live Q&A. Born in Abu Dhabi & raised in Dhaka, Razid Season is a Bengali filmmaker based in New York. He is the founder of a non-profit, Image Maker Films Inc. Razid is interested in making films that deal with humanitarian issues, and he wants his films to be a tool to advocate for those underprivileged communities whose voices are not heard in the mainstream media.
Advance registration required at https://tiny.ucsf.edu/APASAElijah Lunch will be provided to in-person attendees.
