About
Spokes for Strokes is an exciting, family-friendly event where participants of all ages can ride bikes, scooters, roller skates, or anything with wheels through the beautiful Golden Gate Park—all while raising
awareness for pediatric brain aneurysm, AVM, and stroke.
Get creative and trick out your ride at our decoration tent for extra fun and flair. Plus, we’ll be offering a mini bike safety class and skateboard showcase, where you can watch incredible tricks or pick up a few new moves of your own! Come early to decorate your wheels. Bring your own bike or rent a bike near the de Young Museum, which is 1.3 miles from the start line. Wheels roll at 09:00 on the car-free road beginning at Hellman Hollow Picnic Area in Golden Gate Park. The ride is 1.5 miles to Murphy's Windmill and back for a total of 3 miles round-trip. Adventurous types can continue to ride down the car-free Great HWY to the SF ZOO and back to make it a 7-mile ride round-trip.
Join Team "Pedal Power Posse" and we'll ride out together for a fun and unforgettable ride through golden gate park!
